Frequently Asked Questions
You Ask. We Answer.
What are the volunteer roles at Mother's Cupboard?
We have 2 volunteering positions available- Cook and Server.
Cooks arrive at 12:30 pm and prepare the hot meal of the day by following a step-by-step recipe. We like to have 1 cook and 1 assistant so everyone has some support. We are also available every day to help if needed or answer any questions! Cooks normally leave about 3:30 pm or whenever their meal is finished and ready to be plated.
The servers arrive at 3:30 pm. Servers have a couple of roles they can do, plating the hot meals into the containers, running check in- making sure everyone signs in and gives them their hot meals, and lastly the pantry. In the pantry, you will give customers goods of their choice. Servers are also responsible for closing duties, these do not take long- you will be out of here by 6:30 pm!
How much of my donation directly supports the cause?
